The Pico laser differs from Yag laser in that the pulse duration is much shorter. Pulse duration is the time the laser burns on the skin. Normal Yag laser pulse duration is 20 nano seconds. Ecuri Pico laser has a pulse duration of 250 pico seconds. That is 80x shorter than a normal Yag laser.

The Pico laser is not experienced as painful, does not damage the skin and the pigment / tattoo disappears in a few treatments.
