Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly do I learn to pigment?

Permanent make-up is a real craft. We take the time to really turn you into a professional or professional. That is why our training does not consist of 3 or 4 days, but 12 days. There is a period of 2 weeks between each training to get to grips with the theory and to practice the different techniques on artificial skin.

How do I get models?

For the training you need a total of 12 models, for eyebrows, eyeliner and one for the lips. Most students bring family or friends. A call on Facebook always gives a lot of responses. If it doesn't work at all, we also have a database from which you can get a model.

How big are the classes?

Our groups consist of a maximum of 5 people, so that we can give everyone personal attention.

What if a mistake is made during the pigmentation or my model would rather get rid of it?

Ecuri's pigments are very easy to remove. If for whatever reason, your model does not like the pigmentation, we can quickly remove it. You will also learn to apply these techniques yourself in the PMU Perfect Start training.

Why is a pigmentation sometimes rejected?
Everyone who pigments has experienced it, you have pigmented a few beautiful eyebrows, you have put your heart and soul into it. The customer is super enthusiastic and it also looks fantastic in the picture.

After 3 weeks your client returns, the skin has healed nicely, but you can hardly recognize your masterpiece again. Some of the pigment has disappeared, some has faded and the strokes that have remained are not as sharp as when she left you.

Below is a series of reasons why this can happen and some tips on how to see if the pigment has been absorbed into the skin. Also what you can do to prevent this rejection.

What is pigmentation?
It is important to understand what pigmentation really means. Pigmentation is the insertion of a dye just below the epidermis. Part of the pigment is also present in the epidermis during pigmentation. This pigment will have disappeared after the healing process. After healing most of the epidermis has been replaced. All the pigment in this has disappeared. This is one of the reasons why pigmentation is always lighter after healing.

The intention is to introduce the pigment into the upper part of the dermis (dermis). So just below the epidermis. If you pigment deeper, there is a good chance that you will encounter larger blood vessels. This leads to more bleeding. The blood will, as it were, flush out the pigment. The dermis is not happy with our pigment. This organ knows that the pigment does not belong there and will try to reject the pigment. The pigment is worked out, as it were. That is why it is so important that the epidermis closes as quickly as possible. Then the pigment is trapped. The lid is on the pan. That is why we work as dry as possible.

Do not cover eyebrows with wet cotton wool, nor rub, brush or model. The epidermis should heal as soon as possible. Then the dermis is closed, the pigment can no longer go out and it will be encapsulated. Then our goal is reached: a "permanent" pigmentation.

The best solution is to press firmly on the pigmentation with a dry tissue to stop the bleeding and to close the epidermis faster. This stops bleeding and promotes closing of the epidermis.

Therefore, the after care sachet, in whatever form, should only be applied after 2 hours. Then the epidermis is already largely closed. The after care ensures that the epidermis remains closed and does not tear open again due to dryness.

I often compare permanent make-up with painting; if the door is painted you should stay away from it for the time being. Otherwise your fingers will be in the paint and it will remain visible for years. The same goes for PMU; eyebrows just painted: don't touch. Drying time 48 hours.

Aftercare of pigmentations
Fast healing is very important for a good result of the pigmentation. No crusting may occur during healing. This is best achieved by:

Eyebrows:
Immediately after the treatment, clean the pigmentation with a damp, squeezed cotton pad. Dab gently, do not scrub. This will remove the lymph fluid. Repeat this 4 times every hour. After 6 hours you may apply a thin layer of Perfect Heal after care with a clean cotton swab.

Eyeliner:
Immediately after the treatment, you should rinse the eyeliner with cold tap water. Then pat dry with a tissue. Repeat this after 1 and 2 hours. After this, it may not be wet for 48 hours, not even after care.

Lips:
Immediately after the treatment, clean the pigmentation with a damp, squeezed cotton pad. Dab gently, do not scrub. This will remove the lymph fluid. Repeat this every 45 min 4 times. After 6 hours you may apply a thin layer of Perfect Heal after care with a clean cotton swab.

After the above care, you should carefully consider the following factors:
- You must not apply make-up
- Do not cleanse skin
- No swimming pool, sauna or solarium for the first 5 days
- Do not expose the pigmentation to sunlight
- You should not scratch, pick or pick at the pigmentation
